Let me introduce myself. My name is Donna Rutherford and I have a Diploma in Children’s Services. I am married with two children Lochie and Tiahlee. In my spare time I enjoy camping, going to the beach, bbqs and spending time with family and friends.
My Personal Philosophy:
I believe that each child is an individual and an active learner. As an Educator I will value and develop each child’s strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning.
I respect each child within their own learning journey and believe children learn through play and Early Childhood learning provides opportunities for children to explore, create, imagine, blossom and grow.
I believe that all children should feel safe, secure and supported to allow themselves to grow in confidence to explore and learn.
I as an Educator value the importance of respectful, trusting relationships with children, educators, parents, families, carers and the community. I value and recognise consultation, communication and collaboration between families, staff and myself.
